ShiShi Happiness Booths


Founded in 1872, Shiseido from Japan is one of the oldest and largest skincare and cosmetic groups in the world with brands that include Nars, Clé de Peau Beauté Elixir Superieur, Aqua Label, Uno, and Anessa, among others. Both innovative and artistic, the beauty brand continues to grow rapidly in the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide.

In October 2016, Shiseido Travel Retail joined forces with talented, trendy and contemporary Japanese artist ShiShi Yamazaki in an exclusive campaign called “Travel & Happiness”. The collaboration brought ShiShi’s self-styled animated characters to life across Shiseido products and activations in key locations and digital platforms.


ODG was tasked to conceptualize and create a podium of 80 square meters where shoppers could experience “Fresh off the Flight,” a treatment which includes an Ultimune immunity boost for the skin, an eye massage and a makeup touch-up. Customer engagement took the form of an interactive photo booth where shoppers could create their own luggage tag and share customized videos on social media.


Inspired by the freedom of travel and Japanese minimalism, the concept that came to life was the ShiShi Happiness Booths. From creative concept to implementation, the timeline was just two months. Creative concept adaptation to travel retail locations in APAC and worldwide followed.
